American Enterprise Institute

The American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research (AEI) is one of the oldest and most influential of the pro-business right-wing think tanks. It promotes the advancement of free enterprise capitalism, and has been extremely successful in placing its people in influential governmental positions, particularly in the Bush Administration. AEI has been described as one of the country’s main bastions of neoconservatism.

From local roots, Bradley Foundation builds conservative empire

From local roots, Bradley Foundation builds conservative empire

With more than $600 million in assets, the Bradley Foundation provides a cornerstone for the conservative movement in Wisconsin and across America. It has been the financial backer behind public policy experiments that started in the state and spread across the nation – including welfare reform, public vouchers for private schools and, this year, cutbacks in public employee benefits and collective bargaining.

Yet outside conservative circles, the foundation has kept a low profile. It receives a fraction of the attention given the billionaire brothers David and Charles Koch and the Scaife family.

But the Bradley Foundation is in a different league: From 2001 to 2009, it doled out nearly as much money as the seven Koch and Scaife foundations combined.

“Islamofascism” – The New McCarthyism (Part 2)

The following information should be viewed as a microcosm of the broader organised anti-Muslim agenda that exists today. Further background information is available in part 1 here.

Gary Cass, Steve Baldwin, The Innocence of Muslims, The Tea party and Clarion.

Gary Cass

CADC are a right-wing Christian group with an ironic focus on defamation of Muslims.  It’s founder and CEO Gary Cass allied himself with two figures who were to emerge from the radical fringes into obscurity with the furore created by their film “The Innocence of Muslims”.  Gary Cass admitted in a TPM interview that he was aware of the production of the film. The film’s spokesman Steve Klein and Producer Joseph Nasrallah had collaborated with Cass in their mutual anti-Islam agitation.  This alliance was formalised in the creation of defendstudents.com

Unusually, the groups website was registered by a supposedly unrelated group – The Tri-City Tea Party.

defendstudents.com whois

The cabal received glowing references and were promoted by leading anti-Islam propagandist Robert Spencer.

LA Sheriff Lee Baca must be fired for praising Hamas-linked CAIR

The courageous Coptic Christian activist Joseph Nasralla, who gave a riveting speech at our 9/11 Rally of Remembrance at Ground Zero last year, and Steve Klein of Concerned Citizens for the First Amendment are leading a demonstration on Friday, July 29, here in downtown Los Angeles, asking the Los Angeles county board of supervisors to fire the compromised and clueless Sheriff Lee Baca

Steve Baldwin sits on the advisory board at Gary Cass’ the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission. In contrast to every other board member no bio is given for Baldwin but the photo is the same as the one used on his old website.

When Director of right-wing think-tank the CNP Baldwin sent out a 2006 memo to right-wing groups urging a coalition and the organisation of “anti-Islamofascist” groups.  The CNP share some of the same sources of funding with Clarion and CSP, This memo which led to meetings with right-wing extremist groups predates much of the anti-Islam hysteria and propaganda in existence today.

Steve Baldwin, CADC

Also on the board at CADC is O’Neal Dozier, Pastor of the Worldwide Christian Center.   Dozier was publisher of the now defunct “Judeo-Christian View “. Gary Cass was it’s proprietor.  Cass through the “Judeo-Christian View” partnered with the anti-Islamic propaganda group Clarion to disseminate hundreds of thousands od copies of a Clarion propaganda film to the homes of Americans.

The Judeo-Christian View distributed hundreds of thousands of the anti-Islamic propaganda film Obsession they had obtained from Clarion.

Remember the Clarion Fund and its DVD, “Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against The West”? The DVD — and the fund’s murky background — caused an uproar when Clarion spread 28 million copies of the disk throughout battleground states, all in the name of attracting media attention.

Now the DVD has a new distributor, a California-based publication called The Judeo-Christian View. Where Clarion’s roots traced back to Israel, the View connects to significant figures in the conservative Christian political movement. It pulls “Obsession” closer to being precisely what the Clarion Fund has insisted it is not: a political message delivered at the peak of a presidential campaign.

The View says it mailed “Obsession” and other materials, discussing Barack Obama’s and John McCain’s views on abortion, homosexuality and other issues, to more than 325,000 clergy earlier this month. Its conclusion is that Obama’s views are “at odds with the ancient Biblical faiths.”

The View’s general publisher is O’Neal Dozier, once a linebacker for the New York Jets and Chicago Bears, now pastor of the Worldwide Christian Center in Pompano Beach, FL. The publisher is Gary L. Cass, who’s also head of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission, where the homepage currently offers “7 Reasons Why Barack Obama Is Not A Christian.”

(…)

And to deepen the mystery over how “Obsession” is distributed, Cass was vague as to how his publication acquired DVDs for the mailing. He said they came from Clarion but declined to say if they were purchased or contributed. Referring to Clarion, he said, “Let’s just say we have a good working relationship with them.”

Clarion have undeniable links to the Jewish Orthodox settler movement.

From Eli Clifton at lobelog

Aish HaTorah, the Israeli orthodox Jewish group which has denied having any formal links to the Clarion Fund. But Aish and Clarion once shared an address in New York; Clarion’s executive director, Raphael Shore, has worked as a full-time employee of Aish HaTorah and sits on the board of Imagination Productions; Rabbi Henry Harris and Rebecca Kabat incorporated the Clarion Fund, along with Raphael Shore, and served as employees of Aish HaTorah; Shore’s twin brother, Ephraim Shore was the executive director of Aish HaTorah in Miami and Toronto; and Clarion’s spokesperson, Gregory Ross, was an Aish HaTorah fundraiser.

Clarion, share mutual benefactors with the aforementioned Baldwin’s think-tank the CNP and the soon to be mention Center for Security Policy.

Nina Cunningham, Clarion and CSP

Nina Cunningham is Founder/CEO of Quidlibet Research Inc, She has been published by Leven’s/Voogd’s Unity Coalition For Israel (see below) and is a  member of the Republican Jewish Coalition,  sits on the board at Clarion and is a Director at Gaffney’s CSP

Eric Voogd

Eric Voogd has also been employed as a Research Assistant at Nina Cunningham’s Quidlibet Research Inc since 2011. He has spent over a decade “working with the Israel Lobby” and is “a proactive member of the Republican Jewish Coalition –

He is co-Host of The Bibi Report which claims to be recognised by the “official government website for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud Party”.

Previously with Standwithus and CAMERA he is currently an advisor to Unity Coalition For Israel’s CEO and founder Ester Levens who has also been involved with the Republican Jewish Coalition and formerly sat on the boards of other right-wing Israel lobby groups such as JINSA and AIPAC.

Frank Gaffney. Clarion. CSP, Ray Kelly & The NYPD

Frank Gaffney, President of The Center for Security Policy (CSP) sits on the advisory board at Clarion.  Gaffney’s CSP honored NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly in 2007.  Under Kelly’s leadership the NYPD set up a “demographics unit” that illegally spied on Muslims because they were Muslim for six years – and yet didn’t generate a single lead.  Kelly also appeared as an “expert” in one of Clarion’s anti-Islam films, The Third Jihad

The NY Times revealed that Kelly’s NYPD had played Clarion’s film – The Third Jihad – to police trainees on a continuous loop for up to a year.

“Islamofascism” – The New McCarthyism (Part 1)

Jack Wheeler & Stephen Baldwin

In 2006 two spooky veterans of anti-Communist Cold War propaganda  sent out a memo to right-wing groups urging the establishment of anti-Islamic groups. They were Stephen Baldwin & Jack Wheeler.

Wheeler seems to be a former Washington liason with right-wing militias. He organised an 1985 summit in Angola for right-wing terrorists, death squads, and drug traffickers, which included the Afghan Mujahadeen. The event’s co-organiser was Jack Abramoff, who later worked for a bank that was investigated at the time for laundering money for Al Qaeda and whose yacht some of Mohammed Atta’s cell in Florida reportedly frequented.

Stephen Baldwin was at the time of the memo Director of the Council for National Policy.

Council for National Policy

The Council for National Policy (CNP), is an umbrella organization and networking group for social conservative activists in the United States. The New York Times has described it as a “little-known group of a few hundred of the most powerful conservatives in the country,” who meet three times yearly behind closed doors at undisclosed locations for a confidential conference. It was founded in 1981 by Tim LaHaye as a forum for conservative Christians seeking to strengthen the political right in the United States.

The CNP were funded by many of the same donors that fund the current Islamophobia industry including Anchorage and The William Rosenwald Charitable Fund.

910 Group

At the same time as this was happening in 2006 in the US the foundations of the what was to become the EDL were being laid in the UK in the form of the 910 group. Who had representatives meet with Wheeler and Baldwin.

Another part of the new synchronicity arrived in the form of an email sent out last Friday to conservatives by Jack Wheeler and Steve Baldwin. One of the members of the 910 Group received the email and brought it to the group’s attention. A flurry of messages and phone calls ensued, and on Monday morning several core members of the 910 Group met in Northern Virginia with the two conservative activists.

Center For Vigilant Freedom

The 910 group evolved into the Center For Vigilant Freedom (later the International Civil Liberties Alliance)

Two of the leading figures of the CVF were to become key members of the EDL. Christopher Knowles, a CVF Director was fired from his job with Leeds County Council for his involvement with the EDL in the fallout from Breivik’s terrorism.

Another CVF member is Ann Marchini who the Sunday Times described as the “brains” behind the EDL in an expose they ran where they also describe how she arranged the key meeting in the EDL’s formation.

Marchini, who is thought to be in her fifties, runs a buy-to-let property empire from her £1.6m mock-Tudor home in Highgate, a leafy suburb usually associated with liberals.

Marchini, who is believed to be divorced from an Italian banker, operates under at least two aliases: “Gaia”, the Earth goddess from Greek mythology, and “Dominique Devaux”.

She is said to have helped organise a “pivotal” meeting between EDL figures and anti-jihad thinkers in July 2009 and recently attended a discussion where the EDL agreed to consider an electoral pact with the right-wing British Freedom party (BFP).

Center For Security Policy

The CVF’s website was registered to an American extremist called Christine Brim.

Brim is a Chief Operating Officer of Frank Gaffney’s anti-Muslim Center For Security Policy.

Gaffney’s Islamophobic Center For Security Policy propaganda is bankrolled by the same right-wing/Zionist donors that funded the anti-communist propaganda of Baldwin & Wheeler.

Both Gaffney and Wheeler (the senders of the memo) are members of the pro-war Forgotten Americans Coalition.

Gatestown Institute & Nina Rosenwald

Nina Rosenwald ties together many of the aforementioned figures.  Aside from providing seed money for many of the prominent anti-Islam groups such as Gaffney’s CSP, Daniel Pipes’ Middle East Forum and The David Horowitz Freedom Center of Horowitz and Robert Spencer she also employs “Fjordman” as a scholar at the Gatestown Institute where she is President and former CIA Director and PNAC member James Woolsey is Chairman.  Fjordman, a Norwegian blogger had exchanged e-mails with Breivik was questioned by police as a “especially central” witness in the aftermath of the terrorists attacks

Anders Breivik

“So let us fight together with Israel, with our Zionist brothers against all anti-Zionists, against all cultural Marxists/multiculturalists.”

The Sandy “Hoax” Trap

I’ve sensed that there has been something off with this whole episode in terms of how the media and officials have handled this from the start.  I don’t deny that there are legitimate unanswered questions around Sandy Hook, and I’m certainly open to the idea of US agencies (or anyone else) using terrorism against it’s own people to advance an agenda but it is my opinion that much of the crumbs of evidence that have been fleshed out online have ultimately led to red herrings and blind alleys. Red herrings that have seen honest people searching for the truth shooting themselves in the foot.  These have ranged from the absurd such as the Batman/Libor links to the offensive such as the case of Chris Rodia, while undoubtedly an unpleasant individual received his fifteen minutes of infamy this way, and was accused of facilitating a massacre despite having nothing to do with this. This occured due to the release of misleading information combined with an overeagerness to contradict the official narrative.  This is just an example.

Another oft cited “proof” is the case of the Parker family, who lost a child in the attack.  The case hinges on their irregular behaviour in an irregular situation that has been forced onto them. An 2007 article in The Scientific American  based on a study carried out by  pschyologist George A. Bonanno details how the Parker’s behaviour was in fact quite normal afterall.

In one example of his work, Bonanno and his colleague Dacher Keltner analyzed facial expressions of people who had lost loved ones recently. The videos bore no hint of any permanent sorrow that needed extirpation. As expected, the videos revealed sadness but also anger and happiness. Time and again, a grief-stricken person’s expression would change from dejection to laughter and back.

The Four Camps

There are four groups categories of people emerge with events like Sandy Hook:

1- A sub-group of people who automatically assume that every shooting/terrorist attack is an “inside-job”.  This sizable minority group will dogmatically remain entrenched in this position regardless of the evidence.  The inevitability here is that they will cherry pick evidence and advocate whichever alternative theory their pied-piper puts forward regardless of the facts.
2 – There exists another sub-group who hold a healthy scepticism of government and media.  There will be some crossover with group 1, but not much.  The inevitability here is that many of these people will dilligently pour over the evidence with a fine tooth comb before reaching a conclusion which isn’t afraid to go against the grain.
3- Another sub-group would be those in the all-important majority.  They generally accept the MSM as fact, are privately open to alternative theories but are conditioned to be fearful of the Orwellian perjorative of  “conspiracy theorist”.  Alternative blogs and news sites combined with the repetition of government/media lies have had a tremendous impact in nudging little-by-little this group towards group 2.  I would expect this large group to be the primary targets of government disinformation campaigns.
4. The final group would be essentially the other side of the same coin with group 1.  These zombies will accept everything the MSM and government proclaim as fact and “will dogmatically remain entrenched in this position regardless of the evidence.”

Groups 1 and 2 are a problem for the government.  Group 3 must be prevented in merging with group 1 at all costs. This is why Obama’s former “informations Tsar” Cass Sunstein called for action against “conspiracy theories” in a 2008 paper he authored entitled “Conspiracy Theories”. He said:

“The existence of both domestic and foreign conspiracy theories, we suggest, is no trivial matter, posing real risks to the government’s antiterrorism policies, whatever the latter may be.” He goes on to propose that, “the best response consists in cognitive infiltration of extremist groups”

Black Propaganda

What better way to discredit and eliminate”conspiracy theorists” than to give them enough rope to hang themselves?  What better way is there to drive a permanent wedge between groups 2 and 3 above than allowing them to hoist themselves by their own petard?  What better time to do this than in the emotionally charged aftermath of a national tragedy when the world is in mourning?  What better way to do this than manipulating them into accusing the grieving parents of “acting” on spurious grounds?  This can surely only lead to derision and ostracisation and the reinforcement of the negative “conspiracy theorist” narrative.

The application of this manipulation would be relatively straightforward and without risk.  You bide your time until an “inevitable” heinous crime is committed, a crime that you have had absolutely no involvement in and so horrific that it results in a state of collective grief and an outpouring of sympathy for the victims.  When this opportunity arises you control the release of information, such as not releasing the crime scene photos or allowing the parents of the children to see their murdered children or otherwise misleading information that will direct those who seek to false and ideally offensive conclusions.  This will send the “conspiracy” community (from groups 1 and 2) who take the bait into overdrive and those mildly sceptical due to the inconsistencies in the official narrative (group 3) to the blogs and sites of groups 1 and 2.

With this in place you release disinformation in drips and drabs for “conspiracy theorists” to get excited about.  Disinformation that ultimately discredits the researcher and by association their other research.  Essential to this would be the government shills who would be already in place posing as “conspiracy theorists” pushing with all their might their black propaganda. These are the people who frame the debate and from whom the most absurd and offensive memes develop amongst the “conspiracy” community.

Once out there it develops a life of it’s own and a chain-reaction begins and honest people begin to spread the disinformation and the meme is firmly in place as representing the “conspiracy” or alternative viewpoint.

The next phase is something that has already come to pass –  the demonisation of “conspiracy theorists” in the MSM which focused on the most vile and off-putting “conspiracy theories”.  The part is perceived to represent the whole and  this by design extends itself in the minds of the audience to other alternative theories such as 9/11 and JFK.

I would predict the endgame to be the release (or leak) of irrefutable evidence which confirms that the attack took place such as crime scene photographs along with calls to shutdown alternative blogs and sites.

Conclusion

While you can never find out what is outside the window if you don’t draw the curtain attacking the victims relatives on flimsy evidence is clearly counter-productive and self-defeating.

However, I truly don’t believe that that any plausible alternative theory supported by strong evidence has emerged yet.  Likewise, the official story has been evidence-light also so that leaves the impartial observer in a quagmire of sorts.  Who do you then believe?  I have zero confidence in the MSM.  On anything of significance I assume they are lying until I can prove otherwise.  The problem is that I currently cannot “prove otherwise”.

With no offense intended to my American brothers here the American society has been debased and corrupted by parasites and leeches that has seen brand USA become the Capital (and chief exporter) of much of what I consider corrupt and immoral.  Without trying to sound like my dad, violence, selfishness, criminality, sex,  consumerism and so on have all been glamourised by the USA. School shootings themselves have been glamourised by the media.  Can anyone name a single victim from Dunblaine, Virginia Tech, Oslo or Columbine? While Anders Breivik has become a household name across the world.

I think people here are more aware than most of the root source and their motivation of this societal corruption.  With that in mind there is a tragic inevitability in the occurrence of these school shootings in such a culture. It is a question of when and not if there will be another attack.
